Why can’t we all just get along?

I’ve been playing around with Google gemini to see what the AI is capable of, and I was pretty impressed. I entered the following query:

Draw a political cartoon depicting two different species of multicellular organisms protesting in the streets with individuals of each species carrying signs with hate slogans against the other species. Then show an organism caught in the middle of these two factions, trying to broker peace saying "Hey, guys! We're ALL multicellular organisms here! Why can't we just get along?"

and here’s what it came up with.

Pretty good, but I was looking for something a little more…primitive. A second attempt using the same query gave me this:

Nice! I liked this one a lot. I then typed in:

that's pretty good, but now can you add some riot police shooting rubber bullets and throwing gas grenades?

and it got a little closer to what I was looking for:

Ooooh, so close. It’s interesting to see that gemini changed the text on the protester’s signs from actual english words (mostly) to gibberish, or possibly some language spoken by the protesters. I wanted the “Can’t we just all get along” to end in a question mark instead of an exclamation point, so I tried:

Almost! The speech bubble should say exactly this: "Hey, guys! We're ALL multicellular organisms here! Can't we just all get along?" It should end with a question mark

but instead I got this:

I guess gemini just didn’t have any more question marks available so I finally gave up and called it “good enough”
